Strange Chinese Dish: Century Egg and Pork Congee


This is one of my favorite dishes, but some of my friends really dislike it; they think that nothing about this dish smells/tastes/looks right. Nevertheless, I am still going to give it a short introduction. Congee is basically a rice porridge and century egg  is made by preserving duck or chicken eggs in a mixture of clay and salt for several months (no wonder it smells old).
